AHIC 2007:

THIS MESSAGE IS VERY IMPORTANT. PLEASE ACT ON IT IMMEDIATELY.

To all AMSA State/Unit and Branch Presidents,

Assalam alaykum, w.w., I'm happy to inform you that plans have been under way to ensure a successful Annual Higher Institutions' Convention this year. The 2007 AHIC will hold at the campus of the University of Ibadan between Friday 27 July and Sunday 29 July, 2007.

All participants are to arrive at Tedder Hall, University of Ibadan on Friday. Our programme will feature the Global Baiat this year, a rare double reason for us to attend this august Convention.

It is my dismay to announce to you, however, that we lack fund. This is because Units and State Chapters have not paid their levies. For a reiteration of the matter, the levy schedule is as follows: University of Ibadan: #30,000 Obafemi Awolowo University: #7000 Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro: #10,000 UNAAB: #5000 The Poly, Ibadan: #5000 Fed. Poly, EDE: #5000 Ladoke Akintola University: #7000 OOU, Ago Iwoye: #10000 Lagos State: #20,000 All other units that are not mentioned are also to pay five thousand naira only (#5000). Please brothers, we need these money so that we could have a befitting Convention.

Also, participating Units are to present papers at the Convention. The titles are as follow:

1. The Present Generation and the Challenge to Morality: by OOU, OSCOED and UNAAB.

2. The Ultimate Man: Morality Lessons from the Life of the Holy Prophet by FEDPOEDE.

3. How to maintain your morality by Poly, Iree; Poly, Ibadan and SPED, Oyo.

4. A Glimpse into Quran 3 vs. 110 by LAUTECH, FEDPOILARO and SUCOED.

5. Morality and Excellence: The Meeting Point by OAU, UNILAG and TASUED.

6. Utilizing Character as a tool for Tabligh: ESA OKE and Unibadan.

All other units are free to take any topic from the above. Also, each participant must come with his KHUDDAM UNIFORM. Please, this is compulsory. If you have AIMAAN Uniform also, bring it. As you know, we must take care of our own security. Every Unit must come with a full Tajnid of its area. Pls, Units should mobilize secondary school students. They don't need to pay. Just make sure they have the provisions to come and return home.
